The Rekindling: Snake Talk

The Rekindling[^ Since 2022 we have been intermittently gathering under the banner of ‘post-doom sensibilities for the collapse-aware’. This is an event that gathers a diverse mix of warm-hearted and bright-minded folk willing to sense-make and quest—amidst the metacrisis—in this time betwixt worlds.] is back! This time we gather to celebrate the launch of Tyson Yunkaporta and Megan Kelleher’s new book—Snake Talk: How the world’s ancient serpent stories can guide us.

This is a book that is timely and timeless. There’s a deep and stirring vitality to it. A reawakening of cosmic awe in a manner that is both immensely profound and immediately pragmatic—all laced with the subversive wit and sumptuous warmth that Tyson and Megan bring.

This event begins at 5:30pm on Thursday 18th of September 2025 at United Co., 425 Smith Street, Fitzroy. There'll be time for unhurried mingling and book signings.

Tyson and Megan will then join us in conversation, with open time for questions and generous time within which you can purchase books and have them personally signed by the authors. Kevin Murray of Garland Magazine will be with us, and Rune Hjarnø Rasmussen (of Nordic Animism) will also be joining us (all the way from Denmark).

Then, sometime before 7:30pm, we shall collectively amble to a nearby brewery, where we have a private space to gather and cohere in conviviality and good cheer. This is a chance to further deepen your connection with kindred spirits; relaxed, generative and serendipitous dialogue-at-depth amongst a warm atmosphere of old and newfound friends. Grab a bite to eat and stay for as long as your heart desires.

It’s been over a year since our last event. And this may well be our last event (in this format). So! Come celebrate the launch of Snake Talk.
